Paid Ads Video Editor
Remote, Offshore · Full-time · Listed 6 months ago
Remote, full-time video editor for a $3m/month DTC pet care brand selling supplements, treats and grooming to dog and cat owners in the US and UK.
Our client is a fast-scaling direct-to-consumer pet care business whose customers are 30–55-year-old dog and cat owners who treat their pets as family. Creative is the engine of growth on Meta and Google, and this role owns the execution of every ad that gets tested.
What you will do
- Turn strategist-provided concepts, hooks and angles into finished paid ads.
- Edit 15–25 short-form UGC ads per week, 20–45 seconds each.
- Build multiple variations per concept across hooks, pacing and structure.
- Land a strong hook in the first 1–3 seconds, then problem, solution, CTA.
- Add captions, visual emphasis and platform-native pacing for Meta.
- Ship each batch within 24–48 hours and apply feedback fast.
Who you are
- You have proven experience editing UGC-style paid ads for DTC e-commerce brands.
- Your portfolio shows real ads that ran, not aesthetic showreels.
- You have worked with brands targeting US or European markets.
- You understand hooks, retention, pacing and conversion, not just cuts.
- You work in Premiere Pro, with basic to intermediate After Effects.
- You speak clear English, are comfortable on calls and Loom, and ask questions early.
What you get
- Base pay depending on experience and skills, plus performance bonuses up to $3,000+.
- Fully remote, work from anywhere, offshore-friendly, full-time.
- Ownership of creative execution in a high-trust, low-micromanagement team.
- Start on one brand, expand to a second brand based on performance.
- Direct impact on a validated model already doing around $3m a month.
How the process runs
- 1.Application review.
- 2.Interview: portfolio and communication check.
- 3.Paid-ads test task on a real edit scenario.
- 4.Offer.
Questions people ask
Do I need to come up with the strategy?
No. Strategists provide the concepts, hooks and angles. You own execution quality, pacing, retention and conversion impact.
Why is the company not named?
This is a confidential search. The employer is a DTC pet care e-commerce brand selling premium supplements, treats and grooming products in the US and UK at around $3m a month. You learn the name during the interview stage.
Who is this not for?
Editors whose work is YouTube, wedding or corporate video, portfolios without e-commerce ads, and anyone who prioritises aesthetics over performance or avoids calls and Loom.
What does the workload really look like?
High volume and fast feedback loops: 15–25 ads a week, 24–48 hour turnaround per batch, and minimal revisions expected once you are up to speed.
This is not a job editing videos; it is a job shipping ads that perform.
