Talo is hiring on behalf of a client
Remote, 5 days/week
A confidential search run by Talo for one of its clients. The full brief is shared with shortlisted candidates.
Give a single figure or a tight range, e.g. "USD 2,500/month". Compensation is discussed based on experience and capability, so an honest number helps us place you correctly. If you prefer to state another currency, name it.
Pick an actual date. If you are on notice, give the first day you would be free to work.
This role is fully remote and engaged on a contractor basis, so we need to know the country your contract and invoicing would sit in. Example: "Working from Portugal, Brazilian national, residency permit in place."
Be honest about other retainers, freelance clients or studies that would compete for these hours.
Pods run daily with a Creative Strategist, so some live overlap matters.
Count only paid work where the goal was performance: hooks, retention, conversions.
Hands-on means you personally generated assets that shipped or were tested, not that you have watched tutorials.
Pick the closest single description.
One per line, e.g. "Brand X (DTC skincare) — AI Video Editor, freelance — Mar 2024 to present". In-house, agency and freelance all count. Name the client where you are allowed to.
Select every market where your creative actually ran.
Only tick what you could use unaided today. Specific tools matter less than results, but we want an accurate picture.
"Personally" means you generated or cut the assets yourself, not that you managed someone who did. This role ships 4 concepts and 20 hook variants a week.
Count a concept as a complete, delivery-ready ad, hook variants excluded.
Spend on the accounts your ads ran in, in USD per month. Answer honestly — an unverifiable claim scores worse than a modest true one.
Tick only what you did yourself.
A dashboard screenshot, exported report, Loom walkthrough or anonymised deck showing hook rate, thumb-stop, ROAS, CPA or retention against your ads. Redact client-sensitive figures if you must, but keep the metric visible. Make sure the link is publicly accessible.
Drive folder, Vimeo or unlisted YouTube playlist. Include at least one ad where you generated characters or b-roll with AI, and note in the file names which parts were yours. Check sharing permissions before submitting.
Around 200–300 words. Cover the hook decision, how you got the AI generations to hold up (consistency, motion, lip sync), what the numbers did versus the control, and what you changed on the next variant. Write it yourself — pasted AI text is easy to spot and counts against you.
A paragraph is enough. We are looking at how you diagnose the failed generation rather than regenerate blindly, how you protect the weekly commitment, and when and how you raise the blocker.
Trials are paid at an agreed rate and briefed properly. Tell us in the accommodations question if timing is an issue.
Record on your phone or webcam, unedited, face and voice on camera. Cover: (1) who you are and what you edit, (2) the AI tools in your current workflow and one generation problem you solved recently, (3) why this role. Upload to Loom, Drive or unlisted YouTube and check the link is viewable by anyone. No AI avatars or voice clones, please — we want to hear you.
Optional and entirely your choice. For example: interview timing needs, equipment or connectivity constraints, a career gap you would like to explain, or anything else that helps us assess your application fairly.
