Operations Manager
About the role
This role exists to solve the lack of accountable, experienced ownership over back-end operations so that supply, systems, finances and contractors run without founder intervention, which results in the founder staying focused on creative strategy and growth while the brand scales without stockouts or operational leaks. Primary outcome: Day-to-day operations flow smoothly without the founder chasing anyone, and stock supply stays ahead of demand at all times.
What you'll do
• Own stock forecasting, purchase orders and international procurement so the brand never runs out of stock and supply stays ahead of demand. • Run day-to-day communication with technical contractors and agencies, giving them the assets, tools and decisions they need so work lands without founder involvement. • Maintain daily P&L reporting and a monthly balance sheet so the true health of the business is visible at all times. • Process weekly contractor payroll and settle supplier invoices on time so no relationship or shipment is disrupted by payment issues. • Keep the Shopify, subscription and ad-platform back end functioning so revenue-critical flows such as checkout and subscriptions do not break unnoticed. • Build and maintain operating systems that surface problems before they are reported, so issues are caught rather than escalated.
What we're looking for
• Managed or owned back-end operations for an e-commerce brand at 7- or 8-figure scale, ideally as Operations Manager or above • Hands-on stock forecasting, purchase orders, supply chain management and international procurement • Deep proficiency with Shopify and its app ecosystem, plus Loop subscriptions and Checkout Champ • Proven experience managing remote teams and external agencies • High-level financial literacy: P&L management and balance sheet maintenance • Working knowledge of the digital advertising back end (Meta, Google, Klaviyo) • Practical experience of 3PL selection and issues such as payment processor holds and merchant account verification
