Talo is hiring on behalf of a client
Full-time · Remote — US Eastern Time hours required
A confidential search run by Talo for one of its clients. The full brief is shared with shortlisted candidates.
The budget for this role is $2,000–$3,000/month plus a performance bonus. Give a single number or a tight range, not a day rate.
If you are on notice, give the first date you could realistically begin.
This role is fully remote and paid as a monthly rate. We just need to know where you are and how you would invoice.
The creative pod runs on ET and often needs same-day revisions.
Count only paid-social ad editing, not organic social, YouTube, wedding, corporate or brand-film work.
Pick the single closest match.
One per line, e.g. "Brand name — freelance editor — Mar 2023 to present — skincare, Meta + TikTok". Name the brands where you can; say so if any are under NDA.
Select all you have genuinely shipped live ads for.
Select all that apply.
"Personally edited" means you cut the ad yourself, not that you supervised or briefed someone else.
Estimate the account's monthly Meta/TikTok spend during the period your edits were live. Choose the honest option if you never saw the numbers.
Select only what you did yourself, end to end.
A Google Doc, Drive folder, Notion page or Loom showing ad-account screenshots, performance dashboards, editor-level reporting or a written reference. Blur client-sensitive figures if you need to, but keep it verifiable and make sure the link is publicly viewable.
Direct link to the finished videos (Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo, Meta Ad Library or a portfolio page). Not cinematic reels or organic content. Say in one line beside each which brand it was for and what you edited.
Cover the first three seconds specifically: what the hook was, why you cut it that way, what the pacing and sound were doing, and what the performance data told you afterwards. 150–300 words.
Select the tools you could be productive in from day one.
Count finished, delivered assets, including hook variants.
Be concrete about the edit decisions, the workarounds you would use with the footage you have, and how and when you communicate. One or two paragraphs.
The test is paid and typically takes a few hours.
Record yourself on webcam or phone, unedited and in one take, and upload to Loom, YouTube (unlisted), Drive or Vimeo with sharing turned on. Cover: who you are, the kind of paid-social creative you cut, one ad you are proud of and why, and how you handle a deadline that is about to slip. No graphics or music needed — we are assessing communication, not production value.
Optional. For example internet reliability, planned travel, notice period constraints, or adjustments for the paid test or interview. This will not count against you.
